Youth Use Credit Cards As a Self Esteem Booster
In a recent study done by a sociology professor out of Ohio State it would seem that younger adults are associating credit card debt with a sense of mastery and boost in self esteem. The study showed that this type of boost in self esteem rings true with those in lower income brackets but those from families with higher income levels saw no increase in self esteem.
