Was Insurance Overcharging Due to Partisan Politics or an Incompetent Board?

Two recent reports showing that drivers in New Brunswick have been overcharged on their auto insurance to the tune of $500 million has drawn accusations that the New Brunswick Insurance Board may have allowed it to happen. Even though the insurance board released a report that essentially agreed with a report by an actuarial expert the board has still drawn criticism from opposition Liberals that their partisan connections to Conservatives are to blame for the overcharging that happened over a five-year period.
