Unfortunately the average person has their fair share of debt, and not enough money to clear them. In time what happens is you fall into a rut. You go to work every day, five days a week to make a decent income that you never really get to enjoy. Of course we all have financial responsibilities that are ongoing, but it's a sad state that come Friday all that hard earned money only remains in the bank account for a few hours. Within that time each debtor is extracting what's owed to them, and at the end of the day all that's left is the overdraft for the bank charges.
